-------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an overhaul of my fourth Theme it is based on the best and
funniest graphic adventure of all time; The Curse of Monkey Island
from LucasArts. If you don't have it, buy it now.
Or a bit later if the shops are shut.
Or if its raining.
Or if you have a broken leg.

There are four theme files included, the main difference between them
being the background jpg and the colour scheme.
The last theme used Bitmaps instead of JPEGs and was huge. I've
replaced those now but I'm unhappy with the quality of the JPEG when
displayed as a backdrop. One way to get round this is to convert the
JPG back into a BMP (a bit like having a zipfile inside a zipfile!)
that way I save file size (less download time for you) and you don't
have backdrops that look like someone attacked them with sandpaper.
Hooray.
Oh and Murry's the right colour now.
Details Below.......

INSTALLATION:
-------------
  1) Open the CMI.ZIP file in WinZip.
  2) Click on the EXTRACT button.
  3) This will open the Extract Window. In the "Extract To:" box,
make sure it reads the letter of your drive only. This will
     probably be 'C:\'.
  4) In the "Files" box, select "All Files".
  5) Check "Use Folder Names".
  6) Click on the "Extract" button. This will automatically
create a "Monkey Island" directory in your themes directory and
     extract the files there.
  7) Load the theme with your Desktop Themes program.

CONVERTING THE JPG:
-------------------
Purely optional, I hate JPGs as they are grainy but BMPs are huge.

   1) Quite simple (good) open the JPG file in Paint. You'll need
to change 'Files of type' to 'All files' and browse your way
      to C:\Program Files\Plus!\Monkey Island\
   2) Now just click on 'File', 'Save As' finally 'Save' and paint
should automatically save the file keeping the same name
only now with a .BMP extension instead of .JPG
   3) All you have to do now is Right Click on the desktop, select
      'Properties' and Browse back to
C:\Program Files\Plus!\Monkey Island\ to get to the new improved
      Backdrop.

      Nice.

STARTUP AND SHUTDOWN SCREENS:
-----------------------------
These are becoming quite popular now so I thought I'd try a few.

   1) Rename your original screens (very important!)
the files are C:\Logo.SYS (call it Logo1.SYS or something)
      C:\Windows\Logos.SYS and C:\Windows\Logow.SYS
   2) Copy the three files in the Screens subdirectory of the
Monkey Island directory into their appropriate places.
eg Logo.SYS into the root directory (C:\) and the other two
      into the windows directory (C:\Windows).

If you want to change these screens back, just delete the three
current files and rename the old ones as they were.

If you experience problems with the cursors not animating, select the
mouse from the control panel and click on the pointers tab. Click on
the Waiting and Busy cursors to get them going again.

keep it to yourself.
